Dana Point, Calif. (December 26, 2014) – In an effort to drive traffic to the 100 plus businesses along Del Prado in Dana Point’s Lantern District, the City of Dana Point and the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce are launching a multi-month promotional effort entitled “Shop Del Prado.”
The program kicks off on January 1, 2015 with the launch of a dedicated website www.dplanterndistrict.com. Promoting businesses affected by street beautification improvements project along Del Prado between Ruby Lantern and Golden Lantern, the site will feature business listings, spotlights and special promotions.
A major feature on the site is the Shop Del Prado contest to drive business and reward consumers. Launching on Thursday, January 1, 2015 and continuing through the completion of construction, the promotion will run each month beginning in January. Consumers can receive one entry per every $10 spent at eligible Del Prado businesses. A total of ten winners – one per month – will be selected at random by the Dana Point Chamber of Commerce and prizes include hotel, retail and restaurant packages valued between $350 – $750 each. The January prize package includes an overnight stay at the St. Regis Monarch Beach, dinner for two at Salt Creek Grille and two wine cruises from Dana Wharf Sportfishing and whale watching.
Ursula Luna-Reynosa, City of Dana Point Director of Community Development says, “We are really excited to launch Shop Del Prado in support of the Lantern District businesses. While everyone is looking forward to the completed beautification project next year, we hope to encourage the community to support our local merchants during the ongoing construction project.”
